My Summer Vacation - Part V - Art
There's a lot of public art in Stockholm. So I'm about to hit you with some photos.
We found ourselves at Sergels Torg a lot. It's in the middle of the city where there's a lot of bustling.
This is underneath the fountain at Sergels Torg:
Sodermalm is Stockholm's Brooklyn. With more time, we'd have spent more time exploring. There was a lot of cool there. This fountain was sorta weird:
The subways (Tunnelbana) aren't afraid to get in on the art action. All of these are underground, just on and around the platforms. The piano keys are on the ceiling of the escalator.
Not to be outdone, the Lutherans paint up their churches:
The Moderna Museet thinks this guy's art is pretty good, too!

a city that puts an inviting glass house of culture in its main square (like the Kulturhuset in Sergels Torg in Stockholm) is MY kind of place. Such a wonderful city.

And that first photo is taken from the cafe on the 2nd floor of the Kulturhuset. Although I have to admit that, for an arts center, I found the glass house to be a little cold. A wonderful place nonetheless.
off topic for Sweden, but any tips for Chinese food in Sunnyside (other than Tangra)? You seem to know food, so just thought I'd ask...

Slim pickings for Chinese food in the 'Side. Among my neighborhood friends, there seems to be general agreement that Ten Full, on the corner of 40th St. and 48th Avenue, is about as good as it gets.
And no, we don't know what Ten Full means. The people inside seem to think it's self-explanatory.
I'll give Ten Full a try. Tack så mycket! Tony
