Down to Four
The Yanks made it interesting in the ninth, but the Halos held on to become the last team to qualify for the League Championship Series. So it's now Astros v. Cardinals and White Sox v. Angels.
What I predict (revised):
Cardinals v. Angels in the World Series with the Cardinals triumphant.
What I hope (revised):
Astros v. White Sox in the World Series. I lean toward a White Sox victory at the moment, but only because I enjoy watching Roger Clemens lose. If he could get shelled in his two starts, and the Astros could still win, that'd be ideal.
By the way, the grand slam home run ball Lance Berkman hit in the 8th inning against the Braves was caught by a fella named Shaun Dean. Ten innings later, when Chris Burke hit the series-winner, Shaun caught that one, too. Dude. Seriously. Dude.

Dan, the Halos get very little love on your blog. Come on, man! We just tea bagged the vaunted Jankees. The Jankees are our common enemy, yours and mine. So how 'bout giving the Angels a little bit 'o love, huh? Angels over the Sox in 7, Angels over the 'Stros in 6. More rings for the team from the Southland. The script writes itself...
PS - 'Ya think Mike Scioscia's been around a few buffet tables in his life, or what?
Hey, I'm psyched the Halos knocked the Yanks out. And I was with them all the way in 2002. I don't hate the Angels. I don't hate any of the teams left. My mom grew up in St. Louis, and my first game ever was at Busch Stadium, so the Cardinals have generally been my #3 or #4 team my whole life. I just want to spread the wealth, spread the joy, spread the love. And that's why I'd like the Chisox or 'Stros to get their celebration at the top for a change. They're due.
I will say that I think the name change is bullshit. They should still be the Anaheim Angels. In fact, I think that name change was bullshit, too. Bring back the California Angels. And the Washington Senators. And the Seattle Pilots.
And the Brooklyn Dodgers.
The team in Washington should be the Greys. The first team in the city. The first white team in the city was the Nationals, but they were nicknamed the Senators and then became the Senators before they left town for the first time, so when they came back they were named the Senators again before they were shipped off to Texas.
Damn right. Los Angeles Angels. Gimme a break... They're in Orange County (the real OC) for F**ks sake. *grumble* (Just so it's clear - i'm supporting the Anaheim Angels name... didn't want anyone to be confused)
