TimesSelect

My primary source of news, The New York Times, began a pay subscription service today for a portion of their online presence. Called TimesSelect, no longer can we read for free Op-Ed pieces or feature articles in most categories (including anything about the Mets not directly related to a game).

Fuck you, too, New York Times.

I am deeply, deeply disappointed in my favorite paper.

GIVE ME PAUL KRUGMAN OR GIVE ME DEATH!

Sincerely,

Paul Krugman

Well, for years the print media has warned that it would come to this if people kept reading online for free and not buying their publications. I guess I thought I'd put some humorous twist on that last comment, but I seem to have forgotten what it was. Too much time spent in front of the computer, I guess...

The New York Times Company owns the Boston Red Sox. That contradiction alone should require they provide all online content for free.
